This is based on reference photos that I gained from a variety of different rifles. I merged the ideas together to create this model. I completed the entire design from scratch and in my own time. This was very challenging as it was my first real 3D piece.
Within this project I came across a few challenges, for example on the scope segment on the model I couldn't quite get the right aesthetic in comparison to the reference but eventually it came out slightly differently from my original ideas but still looks realistic in terms of a rifle. The more that I worked on the model the better my development skills got and so as I progressed things started to look better. The only thing that I would improve upon would be the textures, I think if I had chosen some better textures then aesthetically it would have been better.

Rifle - In Development
In Development

These are two views of the gun before it is rendered. These are to show the shape and the details on the weapon. For example it exposes the detail on the barrel and bolt.
This is a rendered version of the gun before texturing. This is to show off the shading, lighting and the details within the model.
Drawings and Concepts
Drawings
These are the drawings that I created from references and some from my imagination. These are what I used when creating the models. All of these sketches are in A3.
These are my concepts for when brainstorming the idea for my gun, in the end I chose the bottom idea as my reference for my model and designed it from these drawings. Some of the shading did not scan through and so some of the detail was lost.

These are some blueprints that I replicated from references and used them in order to create my car. This shows all the different views that I was going to need to make the model. The act of drawing these views helped me understand the 3D shape of the car.
This is my final piece of concept art that I created for the Camero, this was drawn from a reference photo and this is the angle that I wanted to render one of my images from. This image didn't scan very well and so lost a lot of the shading within it. overall I think it went very well.
This is one of my landscape pieces. I did this so that I could get some variation within my sketches. This was mostly drawn from my own ideas. I like this piece because of the shading and the way it draws your eye towards and up the stairs.
These two images were concepts for characters that I designed, I sketched these in Photoshop. Both the zombie and the soldier were created from my own imagination.
